Ready to Set Your Fall Goals?

Fall is our favorite season by a mile! Even in Florida where we don’t exactly get to experience the full effect, there’s something different in the air this time of year. The breeze is a little cooler, nights get a little cozier and pumpkin spice is everywhere.

Whenever a new season approaches, we love to take some time to write down our goals for the next few months. Here’s what we’re committing to this fall:

  • Take advantage of the nicer weather by getting outside for a workout whenever possible. With the days getting shorter, this may mean getting a little creative in order to avoid running or walking in the dark if that's a concern. Early morning runs could be swapped out with a lunch break loop around the neighborhood or a sunset run after work. If neither of those are possible, take it as an opportunity to call a friend and ask them to join. Other workouts that are great to incorporate and tend to offer outdoor classes this time of year include yoga, boot camps and HIIT classes.
  • Experiment in the kitchen more with seasonal fruits and vegetables. There are so many delicious options this time of year like butternut squash, figs, Brussels sprouts, broccoli rabe, apples and of course pumpkin. We love to combine two or three different vegetables and toss them with some olive oil, salt and pepper, and seasonal herbs and spices like fresh thyme, sage, rosemary or cinnamon before roasting them in the oven. This is also the perfect time of year to break out the crock pot and make some warming soups or stews.
  • Connect with the community by attending more local events. Fall is always packed with festivals, pumpkin patches, trunk-or-treats and even some free fitness events. All of these provide amazing opportunities to get to know others in the community while doing something fun.

Now it’s your turn! What are some of your goals for fall? Let us know on Facebook or Instagram.
